It's a Girl!
two short thoughts on the run
Let’s just say today was (is) a very busy day. But all is good (amazing) and while I have five minutes of downtime, maybe I can quickly share two short thoughts that crossed my mind during today’s ride. I’m doing this, firstly, as a venue to publicly thank Hashem through this for the tremendous gift He has given me today. And also, well, because I like sharing my thoughts.
But first, here’s the sharpest feeling I have:
Freshly newborn babies that are your own are the most beautiful thing that exists. No words.

Okay, now the two thoughts:
1. Although technically we are supposed to feel this every second of every day, it is amazing to experience the actuality of the “ממית ומחיה” in this extremely special way. The whole birth process is nothing but miraculous (for those that aren’t yet dead inside).
2. Chazal tell us that the era of Mashiach is not a sudden arrival but a birth; preceded by labor, pain, and the pangs that come before the new life emerges.
But, Hashem, can we please get an epidural???1
I actually have a lot more to say about this one, maybe when I have more time…?
