That could be true in some cases, but why not just say your own mazel tov? Lazy?
The author of the post/subject of the mazel tov doesn't know who you are when you like someone else's mazel tov--only the mazel tov wisher sees who liked their wish.
I marked 'like' to Libby S's mazel tov wish. I wanted to say the same exact thing as her. I don't see why the comments should be so repetitious. The author could see 75 'likes' on "mazel tov" and know everyone wishes him well.
Nope, sorry--that doesn't cut it. You took the lazy way out. Shulman doesn't know YOU wished him mazel tov until I pried it out of you. You tried to use a sh'liach and you weren't yotzei.
And you still didn't explain why Libby S deserves your like and no-one else who gave the exact same wish. Bias?
I guess I was just a naturalist. It never even occurred to me to take an epidural. I also: never gave bottles or pacifiers, had almost no cleaning help (couldn’t afford it), and nursed for at least 2 years. My daughters do all these and anything else which makes their lives easier. And I’m all for it!
I don't believe that teffilah should be used to avoid difficult challenges, but to be given strength to overcome them. Challenges are what make us better people.

Now where is the Sholom Bat gonna be ?
Cuz Frumstack is in da house!
Mazel tov!
Why does Libby S. get two likes for wishing mazel tov and nobody else?
haha, I do love how much fun you're having on Substack!
I think a like is also like stating “Gam ani mitztaref”
Let’s argue. It’s fun.

You’re basing this on the premise that said person would have written their own Mazel Tov.

First of all there’s 5 already
Second of all this needs serious detective work
3rd perhaps it’s because I got here first (or second?) so there’s just more time for me to get more likes
Mazel tov!!!
Mazaltov!!! Love the epidural idea
Yeah my daughters are like: “My name is Epidural, give me an Hadassah quick!”
I was more the חבלי משיח type as far as epidurals went…
Mazal Tov! nachas! Simcha! Daughters are gorgeous…
Amen!
On purpose, or just too quick?

Mazel tov--and if Hashem wanted us to have a pain-free existence, He could have easily arranged that well before you asked Him.
You don't believe in Tefillah?
I don't believe that teffilah should be used to avoid difficult challenges, but to be given strength to overcome them. Challenges are what make us better people.
??
Do you have a mekor?
I don't see that any of our tefillos are focused on that.
wut….? All tefillah is focused on that. We ask Hashem for help, but nowhere do we ask for all nisyonos to be removed.
Moshe Rabbeinu was punished for this. That is a pretty darn strong Mekor.
Tehillim are filled with pesukim on Dovid asking Hashem to test him.
Chovos halevavos teaches this.
Kotzker rebbe,
Chabad
Breslov
tons more i won’t overload you with
…ohhhh…
Sorry, I forgot… all the sources i quoted above are not sources you are allowed to learn in yeshiva…
>>All tefillah is focused on that.
How do you see that?
>>We ask Hashem for help, but nowhere do we ask for all nisyonos to be removed.
Who is talking about asking for all nisyonos to be removed?
>>Moshe Rabbeinu was punished for this.
A mekor please?
>Tehillim are filled with pesukim on Dovid asking Hashem to test him.
Wasn't he wrong for this? After all, he wasn't omaid bnisayon.
>Chovos halevavos teaches this.
Where?

Sorry, I just don't see any sources here.
Oy, brother. It seemed that you were saying that tefilah could be used to remove nesyonos. maybe i missed it
you should know It's possible to hang yourself with a string of mekors.
You have Sefaria and ChatGPT like the rest of us, brother; go look these up yourself. All I can say is I am not lying.
... I mean that in a nice way... I love you, like a soul brother from another mother...
Listen to Rav Raphael Zarum’s podcast episode on Tefilah, I’m not sure it’s an exact source but definitely similar ideas
